Long Long Time

Well it's been along time since I was on this blog. So I think I will try to start this again. It is 11:00 at night here and I know this isn't a great time to start over but hey I'm getting old and this is a good time for me.

Betty and I have done a lot of traveling since I last posted anything here. Last year we went to the Blue Ridge parkway on the motorcycle of course and had a wonderful time. That is a beautiful part of the country. As you can see by the picture below this is the highest point on the parkway.

This picture is of Mabry Mill which is on the parkway also.

That is just some high lights of the trip but we saw a lot more. We also went to Colorado with our motorcycle group. This is the Wayfaringstrangers. Their website or link is listed on the right if you are interested in viewing it. It shows all the rides our ministry has made this year and then others also.

The Colorado trip was great since we were with friends. Started in Duncanville, Tx and went to Palo Duro canyon. Then on to Rye Colorado to stay with new friends we met at church.

That's all the trips we took last year. We still ride with the motorcycle ministry on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. We have met some great folks on those rides and always look forward to the rides with them. I will show this years (2008)rides on the next posting. Hopefully tomorrow.

Beautiful Day

Today is Sunday and it is a great day for riding. But since the last week and ahalf has been terrible as far as weather I have to catch up on all the things I could not do because of the weather. So I will not be riding today. What a bummer. But there will be other days to ride.

New Site

I have setup this blog so that my family and friends can keep up with what is going on with Betty and I. Mostly it will be about our travels on our Goldwing and the friends and sites that we see. It will also include the rides that we make with the Wayfaring Strangers. For those that do not know about the Wayfaring Strangers it is a motorcycle ministry that we have at our church.
